Frequently asked questions

Are Mandiram idols made of pure brass?

Yes. Every idol is handcrafted in pure brass. Each product page lists the idol's weight and dimensions so you can compare sizes before you buy.

What size idol is right for my home mandir?

Measure your mandir first. Idols of about 3 to 5 inches suit wall-mounted and small wooden mandirs, while 5 to 9 inch idols work well in floor-standing mandirs and pooja rooms. Our guide How to choose a brass idol for your home mandir covers deity, size and placement.

Why does my idol look slightly different from the photo?

Our idols are cast and finished by hand, so small differences in colour, polish and detailing between pieces are natural to handmade brass and are not defects.

How do I clean a brass idol?

Wipe it weekly with a soft dry cloth. Before festivals you can use tamarind paste or lemon and salt, then rinse and dry completely. Avoid steel wool and harsh chemicals. See our brass cleaning guide.

Do you offer Cash on Delivery and how long does delivery take?

Yes, Cash on Delivery is available on serviceable PIN codes across India. Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days and usually arrive within 3 to 7 business days after dispatch.

What if my idol arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and, if possible, an unboxing video. Damaged, defective or wrong items can be returned within 7 days of delivery. See our return policy.
